TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN HELD AFTER EXTREME DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Saturday morning, accused of beating up his ex-girlfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, the victim called authorities about 4 a.m. Saturday to report that her ex-boyfriend, identified as Rocky Duarte, 31, of the 6500 block of Mesquite Springs Road, had been drinking for five straight days, and beating her for three days. The report states the woman had bruising to her arms, chest, and back, and a bite mark on her chin. After an investigation, Rocky Duarte was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
