A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Thursday after he was driving a car with forged registration. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy made a traffic stop on a Honda Civic near Commercial Street and Park Boulevard in Joshua Tree about 11:30 a.m. The car’s license plate was registered to a Toyota. The driver, Thomas Deacon, 31, gave a false name to the deputy, but the deputy found his driver’s license inside the car. Deacon is on felony probation, and during a search of the vehicle the deputy found drug paraphernalia. Thomas Deacon was arrested on suspicion of forging a vehicle registration, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $25,000.
