A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Saturday, after he threatened a woman. Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 7400 block of Saladin Avenue in Twentynine Palms about 1 p.m. Saturday because the victim said Michael Bylund, 56, had chased her out of the house and then locked her out. She said he also pushed her and threatened to kill her. She ran behind her neighbor’s house and called 911. When deputies arrived they saw Bylund loading up his truck with the victim’s computer, printer, and other belongings. Bylund ran in to the house and then out the rear door. When he saw deputies in the back yard, he ran back into the house, but deputies were able to take him in to custody. Michael Bylund was arrested for investigation of elder abuse, grand theft, making criminal threats, and domestic battery, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $75,000.
