A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Saturday, accused of child abuse. According to limited information from the Sheriff’s Department, an arrest warrant was issued March 21 for Otis Flemings, 30, of the 5300 block of Mariposa Avenue for two counts of felony child abuse, with enhancements of causing great bodily injury and have prior felony convictions. Otis Flemings was arrested on the child abuse arrest warrants about 9 p.m. Saturday at the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Department, booked into jail, with his bail set at $450,000. Flemings’ prior felony convictions include felony grand theft on a person, possessing a weapon at school, and robbery.
