A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Thursday in Joshua Tree on warrants and weapons charges. Deputies went to the 6400 block of Valley View Street in Joshua Tree about 8 a.m. where they attempted to arrest Christian McCool, 26, on felony warrants. When McCool saw deputies, he fled on foot. Deputies saw McCool, as he was running, remove multiple items from his pockets and throw them onto the ground. Deputies caught McCool and detained him without incident. Deputies determined one of the items McCool threw was brass knuckles. Christian McCool was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of brass knuckles and on his warrants, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $25,000.
