A man was arrested for investigation into sexual battery by restraint at Luckie Park in Twentynine Palms.
On Monday (March 25) at around 6:00 p.m., a victim contacted the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department to report an incident of sexual battery. The victim told deputies that they met Gulherme Machado, a 19 year-old resident of Twentynine Palms on a dating app. The victim told deputies that they agreed to meet Machado in person at Luckie Park, and that during their encounter Machado touched and attempted to touch the victim’s private parts.
At around 10:30 p.m. deputies contacted Machado at Building 1608 on the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center and he was taken into custody.
Gulherme Machado was arrested for investigation of sexual battery by restraint and has since been released on bail.
