A convicted felon was arrested for suspicion of being in possession of a firearm and driving without a license in Twentynine Palms.
On Wednesday at around 11:30 p.m., County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Larry Furgerson, a 48 year-old resident of Twentynine Palms near the intersection of Indian Trail and Morongo Road.
Arrest records indicate that Furgerson, who is a convicted felon, was found by deputies to be in possession of a firearm. In California, convicted felons are prohibited from owning or possessing firearms or weapons. Furgerson was also arrested on suspicion of driving with a suspended drivers license.
In 2017, Furgerson was arrested on suspicion of knowingly receiving a stolen RV.
Larry Furgerson was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and driving on a suspended license and booked into the West Valley Detention Center on $30,000 bail.
