TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN ARRESTED FOR SPOUSE ABUSE

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Sunday after his wife said he violated a restraining order, broke into her house and beat her up. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the 6900 block of 49 Palms Avenue in Twentynine Palms just before 9 a.m. Saturday. The woman said her husband, Thomas McCool, 47, snuck into her house through a window about 6:30 a.m. Saturday, threw her around and choked her. He then fled before deputies arrived. Responding deputies determined the victim had scratches and bruising on her head and arms. Thomas McCool was located about 11 a.m. Sunday and arrested for investigation of felony spouse abuse and violating a restraining order, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $75,000.
