A convicted felon was arrested in Twentynine Palms for suspicion of spousal abuse and witness intimidation.
On Tuesday (October 3), Jonathan Chavez, 26, was arrested in the 73000 block of Sunnyvale Dr in Twentynine Palms for investigation into corporal injury to a spouse or date and being in violation of a post-prison supervision program.
Chavez was booked into the West Valley Detention Center where he is being held without bail.
Jonathan Chavez is expected to be arraigned today (October 6) on felony spousal abuse charges, along with a felony charge of dissuading a witness by threat or force and an allegation of committing the abuse for the second time in seven years.
