TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN ARRESTED FOR INVESTIGATION OF ATTEMPTED MURDER

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Thursday, accused of the attempted murder of another man in July. On July 2, residents in the 73800 block of Cactus Drive called 9-1-1 about 12:20 a.m. to report that a man, later identified as Brandon Koenig, was on their front porch and was bleeding. Koenig told deputies that he had been stabbed in his left side and right hand. Brandon Koenig was airlifted to a local hospital. Over the following weeks, deputies identified the suspect in the stabbing as Larry Gray, 41. A warrant was issued for Gray’s arrest and he was located about 2 a.m. Thursday at Tortoise Rock Casino in Twentynine Palms. Larry Gray was arrested for investigation of attempted murder, booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $1 million.
