A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Sunday evening after his girlfriend said he beat her up. According to a Sheriff’s report, Daniel Saavedra, 23, was arguing with his girlfriend in the 73500 block of Two Mile Road about 5 p.m. when she said he punched her in the mouth and face several times, and scratched her. Saavedra told the deputy that he “just snapped” and punched her. Daniel Saavedra was arrested for investigation of felony spouse abuse and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
