A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Monday after he broke into his girlfriend’s apartment. About 2 p.m., deputies were called to the 6500 block of El Rey Avenue in Twentynine Palms where a woman said Samuel Diaz, 31, kicked in her back door and was yelling at her. Diaz said he went to his girlfriend’s apartment because she was not answering his phone calls, and when she wouldn’t let him in, he went to the back door and kicked it open. The damage is estimated at about $450. Samuel Diaz was arrested for investigation of burglary, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $25,000.
