TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN ARRESTED AFTER HIGH-SPEED CHASE MONDAY

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Monday afternoon, after deputies said he led them on a high-speed chase through the Morongo Basin. The chase started just after 1 p.m. as Thomas Stokell, 39, led deputies and CHP officers eastbound on the highway, before he was finally captured in the 6200 block of Lupine Avenue in Twentynine Palms. Thomas Stokell was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $100,000.
