A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Sunday night, accused of driving under the influence, after he drove his pick-up truck through a home. Just after 9 p.m., Phillip Valenzuela, 42, was driving his 2010 Chevy Silverado 2500HD truck westbound on Sun Valley Drive when it crashed into a home on the west side of Morongo Road. The truck drove completely through the home and into the back yard of a neighboring house on Mariposa Avenue. Valenzuela fled the scene on foot but was arrested for driving under the influence and taken to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs for treatment of his injuries. The home was found to be unoccupied. SoCal Edison and the Gas Company were called to disconnect utility services to the property.
