A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Sunday, accused of concealing a knife on his person. About 4:40 a.m. Sunday, a deputy stopped a pedestrian, identified as Andrew Normand, 25, who was wearing lab goggles and several large black jackets while walking on Adobe Road and Boling Drive in Twentynine Palms. While the deputy made a cursory pat down search, Normand said he was carrying an envelope opener and reached for his waistband. The deputy located a dagger concealed in his waistband. Andrew Normand was arrested for investigation of carrying a concealed dirk or dagger, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $25,000.
