TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN ACCUSED OF TORTURE AFTER THROWING HOT LIQUID

An 18-year-old Twentynine Palms man was arrested Wednesday, accused of deliberately burning his sister’s boyfriend. According to Sheriff’s Deputy Ericson Dominick, last week, a 17-year-old boy went to visit his girlfriend in the 2100 block of Bullion Drive in Twentynine Palms. While waiting outside, his girlfriend’s brother, Clay Henderson, came outside and threw a cup of hot liquid on the boy’s face and neck. Dominick said Henderson also threatened the victim with a weapon. The boy sustained severe burns to his face and neck. On Wednesday, deputies served a search warrant at the home on Bullion Drive and recovered a coffee cup and the weapon used by Henderson. Clay Henderson was arrested for investigation of torture, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, and is being held on $500,000 bail.
