A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Saturday, accused of vandalizing a car wash in Twentynine Palms. Deputies were called to the car wash in the 5100 block of Adobe Road about 5:45 a.m. Saturday by an employee who said that about 9 p.m. on August 10, the car wash’s vacuum machines were vandalized. Video surveillance showed a man get out of a white Mercury SUV with a sledgehammer and hit the vacuum machines. Deputies contacted the registered owner of the SUV, Kevin Evans, 34, who admitted to being the man in the video. Kevin Evans was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, cited, and released.
