A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Monday (June 22) accused of threatening to kill his mother with a sledge hammer. According to Sheriff’s reports, the victim went to her home in the 74800 block of Alta Loma Drive in Twentynine Palms around 12:30 a.m. When the victim entered the garage, she was met by Nolan Jamieson, 31 who asked if he could use her car. When the victim refused, Jamieson became upset and began cursing, yelling, and throwing household items at the victim. Jamieson then grabbed a sledge hammer and chased the victim saying he was going to kill her. The victim escaped uninjured and fled to a neighbor’s home where the neighbor called 911. Sheriff’s responded to the scene and located Jamieson. Nolan Jamieson was arrested for investigation of making death threats and on a $75,000 Sheriff’s warrant for trespassing. He was booked into the West Valley detention center with his bail set at $50,000.
