TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN ACCUSED OF THREATENING TO KILL GIRLFRIEND AND SON

A Twentynine Palms man who threatened to kill his girlfriend and her young son was arrested Tuesday, accused of making criminal threats. About 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, the woman and her son went to a neighbor’s home in the 72200 block of Joshua Drive in Twentynine Palms for help after David Daniel, 37, threatened her and her son with a pocket knife. The neighbor took the woman and her son to a safe location and called 911. When deputies went to Daniel’s home, he was holding two swords and admitted he was holding them to intimidate his girlfriend and neighbor if they returned. David Daniel was arrested for investigation of making criminal threats, booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $50,000.
