TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN ACCUSED OF THREATENING TO KILL FAMILY

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Thursday, accused of threatening to kill a woman. Just before 2:30 p.m., a woman called deputies asking for someone to help her before Saunoa Asuega, 36, killed her and her children. The woman said she was at the Twentynine Palms City Hall, but Asuega was at home in the 73600 block of Civic Center Drive with the children. After an investigation, Saunoa Asuega was arrested for making criminal threats and booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $50,000.
