A Twentynine Palms man who is believed to have stolen a phone from a disabled child was arrested Tuesday. According to Sheriff’s detectives, Sage Ramirez, 26, broke into a home in the 4500 block of Adobe Road in Twentynine Palms by crawling through a window sometime during 9 and 9:30 p.m. on the Fourth of July. The suspect stole a laptop and cellphone belonging to a disabled child at the home. Neighbors told detectives they saw a man fleeing the home about 9:30 p.m. with electronics, and they believe they saw the suspect casing the home before the burglary. Using evidence left at the scene, detectives identified Ramirez as the suspect, and arrested him for investigation of burglary about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 70800 block of 29 Palms Highway in Twentynine Palms. Sage Ramirez was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $100,000.
