TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN ACCUSED OF RUNNING A CHOP SHOP

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Wednesday, accused of operating a chop shop. During a probation search in the 5600 block of Gopher Lane in Twentynine Palms, Mark Mroz, 65, was found to have a dismantled stolen vehicle on his property which had been stripped of its major components. A second vehicle was also found on his property which had the vehicle identification number removed. Mark Mroz was arrested on suspicion of operating a chop shop, booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $75,000.
