A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Saturday, accused of resisting arrest. Deputies were called to the area of Adobe Road and El Paseo Drive in Twentynine Palms about 11 a.m. for a man, later identified as Peter Nguyen, 29, who showed signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance. While deputies were trying to detain Nguyen, he resisted arrest, and deputies had to use force to apprehend him. Peter Nguyen was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest, booked at the Central Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
