A Twentynine Palms man was arrested late Friday night, accused of punching his stepson. According to a Sheriff’s report, Sirglen Sims, 36, was arguing with the boy and punched him in the mouth three times. The boy left home and went to the home of a trusted adult, who called the Sheriff’s Department. After an investigation, Sirglen Sims was arrested at his home in the 500 block of Mariposa Avenue on suspicion of felony child abuse, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $100,000.
