TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN ACCUSED OF POSSESSING CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested last week, accused of being in possession of child pornography. On March 23, detectives from the Morongo Basin Station received two tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a suspect who uploaded images of child pornography to his social media account. Detectives identified the suspect as Joseph Beaty, 34, and an arrest warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 9, deputies located Joseph Beaty in San Bernardino, and he was arrested on suspicion his warrant for possession of child pornography. Beaty was booked at the Central Detention Center with his bail set at $50,000.
