TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN ACCUSED OF MULTIPLE CRIMES

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Wednesday, October 28, accused of drug possession and violating his sex offender registry. According to a Sheriff’s press release, a Deputy was in the area of Baseline Road and North Star Avenue in Twentynine Palms conducting security checks on abandoned homes due to multiple reports of people trespassing at the locations. At 8:43 a.m., Deputies located a vehicle parked in the driveway of a fire-damaged residence in the 74000 block of Baseline Road. Deputies contacted Peter Wolik, 38 of Twentynine Palms inside the home. Wolik was on active parole and felony probation. According to additional Sheriff’s logs, an unidentified female was with Wolik at the time. Christopher Wolik was arrested for investigation of trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia, being in violation of his sex offender registration, and in violation of his parole and probation; booked into the Morongo Basin Jail; and is being held without bail. The unidentified female, who was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and in possession of drug paraphernalia, was cited and released at the Hi-Desert Medical Center due to numerous medical issues.
