TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN ACCUSED OF KIDNAPPING ARRESTED FOLLOWING PURSUIT WITH DEPUTIES

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Sunday (August 01) accused of kidnapping following a pursuit with deputies. According to Sheriff’s reports, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Ocotillo Avenue and El Paseo Drive in Twentynine Palms. The driver, later identified as Demarqus Bush, 33, failed to yield and led deputies on a pursuit into a Mobile Home Park in the 6100 block of Ocotillo Ave. Bush abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Deputies followed his tracks to a mobile home in the park where Bush was found hiding. Demarqus Bush was arrested for investigation of kidnapping, on a $25,000 Sheriff’s warrant for resisting arrest, and on a felony no-bail warrant for probation violation. He was booked into the West Valley detention center with his bail set at $250,000. The circumstances of the kidnapping are not yet available as the case is still under investigation.
