According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the 73700 block of Raymond Drive about 8 p.m. Friday. The woman, who is confined to a wheelchair, said her son, Robert Wallace, 31, who is also her caretaker, is always drunk and pushes her wheelchair into a bedroom and refuses to let her go outside. She also said that Wallace made criminal threats. The woman told deputies she lives in fear and believes he will act on his threats if she leaves her home. Robert Wallace was arrested for investigation of false imprisonment of a dependent adult, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
