A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Friday, accused of spouse abuse. According to a Sheriff’s report, a woman called for help about 8:20 Friday morning and said her boyfriend, Rayjon Thornton, 21, had punched her in her left eye Thursday night. She added she had fallen to the ground and lost consciousness for an unknown period of time. In addition, Thornton allegedly choked her Friday morning. When she called, she said he was currently destroying her possessions. After an investigation, Rayjon Thornton was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse, booked into West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
