A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Thursday morning, accused of drunk driving and crashing into a traffic light. According to the Sheriff’s Department, Diego Rodriguez-Fimbres, 24, was driving a Subaru SUV on Adobe Road in Twentynine Palms when he crashed it into the traffic light at the northwest corner of the intersection with Indian Trail about 4:30 a.m. Deputies say Rodriguez-Fimbres drove off westbound on Indian Trail. Deputies caught up to him when his Subaru became disabled near Mesquite Springs Road. Diego Rodriguez-Fimbres was arrested for investigation of hit-and-run and driving under the influence. He was cited and released at Hi-Desert Medical Center in order to seek medical treatment for his injuries from the collision.
