A Twentynine Palms man was arrested early Friday morning, after his wife said he hit her and their baby. According to a Sheriff’s report, the woman called just after 1 a.m. to say that she and her husband, Dezell Carroll, 27, had been arguing in the 71600 block of Cactus Drive when he started to hit her in the head as she was holding their one-month-old baby. She added that the baby may have been accidentally hit by one of the Carroll’s blows. Carroll then allegedly began breaking things and threw a television outside, before locking the woman outside the home. After an investigation, Dezell Carroll was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse and child endangerment, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $100,000.
