A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Saturday, accusing of beating up his girlfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the 5800 block of Halsey Avenue in Twentynine Palms about 5:30 p.m. because a woman, who was sitting in some bushes, said she had been assaulted by her boyfriend, Chase Huitt, 32. After an investigation, Chase Huitt was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
