A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Monday, accused of burglarizing a home in October. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies responded to a burglary report October 7 in the 6800 block of Pine Avenue in Twentynine Palms. The resident reported he had surveillance video of the suspect, later identified as Christopher Franklin, 32, with the stolen items, and later positively identified Franklin in a photographic line-up. An arrest warrant was issued for Franklin. On Monday, November 6, a deputy spotted Franklin’s vehicle at the Circle K in Joshua Tree about 3:30 p.m. During a search of the vehicle, deputies located stolen property from the October burglary; more than $10,000 in stolen property was recovered during the investigation. Christopher Franklin was arrested for investigation of burglary, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $25,000. In July, Franklin was arrested in the 73800 block of Sun Valley Drive in Twentynine Palms for investigation of child cruelty and identity theft. A representative from Children and Family Services was attempting to pick up children at the location and discovered the house was filthy and filled with feces. Responding deputies also found that Franklin had personal identifications for more than 10 people.
