TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN ACCUSED OF BURGLARY

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Tuesday, accused of burglarizing a home. According to a Sheriff’s report, a resident in the 5900 block of Aztec Avenue in Twentynine Palms came home about 3:30 p.m. and discovered someone had forced entry into the home and stolen a shotgun, gun case, and other guns. Deputy Dennis Tollefson identified a possible suspect and located Jake Kennedy, 24, at Tortoise Rock Casino. After an investigation, deputies arrested Jake Kennedy on suspicion of burglary and for being a felon in possession of a handgun. Kennedy led Tollefson to where the gun was located and it was recovered. Jake Kennedy was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $150,000.
