TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN ACCUSED OF GRAND THEFT AUTO

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Thursday, accused of grand theft auto and being in possession of stolen vehicles. According to Sheriffs reports, Deputies were called to a home in the 73900 block of Desert Dunes Drive in Twentynine Palms about 7:30 p.m. Thursday for a report of a stolen vehicle. Deputies determined that Aaron Villalobos, 27, of Twentynine palms had stolen a truck and trailer from the location on March 25. The owner reported seeing his trailer being towed by another truck on Desert Dunes Drive. Deputies were able to successfully track down and return the stolen truck. Aaron Villalobos was arrested for grand theft of two vehicles, being in possession of stolen vehicles, and for a $525,000 warrant for being under the influence, and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
