A Twentynine Palms man was arrested late Thursday night, accused of beating up his pregnant girlfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, Derrick Lute-Rosario, 23, was arguing with his girlfriend in the 73300 block of 29 Palms Highway about 11:30 p.m. Thursday night when Lute-Rosario grabbed the woman and began to punch her with both fists. The woman sustained a swollen lip and laceration. Derrick Lute-Rosario was arrested for investigation of felony spouse abuse, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
