TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN ACCUSED OF ATTEMPTED MURDER

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Sunday morning, accused of shooting another man. Deputies were called to the 5300 block of Chia Avenue just after 10 a.m. for a shooting. Morongo Basin Ambulance transported a man—who has not yet been identified—to the nearest trauma hospital for treatment. Just before noon, deputies located the suspect, Robert Salazar, 37, in the 59000 block of Aberdeen Drive. Robert Salazar was arrested for investigation of attempted murder, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $1 million.
