A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Wednesday, accused of assaulting his girlfriend’s brother. A clerk in a store in the 73900 block of 29 Palms Highway called deputies about 9:30 p.m. because a bleeding man came in to the store and asked for help. Several witnesses told the deputy they saw Arsola Bell, 42, striking the victim multiple times in the head, and they had to pull Bell off the victim. Bell left the location before deputies arrived, but he was later located at his home. Arsola Bell was arrested for investigation of assault, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, and released on $50,000 bail.
