TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN ACCUSED OF ABUSING AN ELDERLY MAN IN WALMART

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Friday after he pushed an elderly man in the Yucca Valley Walmart. According to a Sheriff’s report, Alan Tome, 32, became angry while he was in Walmart and allegedly pushed an 82-year-old man about 4 p.m., causing the man to hit his head and right elbow. Tome then left the store in a vehicle and deputies made a traffic stop near Highway 62 and Quail Drive. Alan Tome was arrested for investigation of elder abuse, taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center for a medical evaluation, and then booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $50,000.
