Twentynine Palms Ladycats Volleyball Win Vs. Seahawks

The Twentynine Palms Ladycats varsity volleyball team took on the Seahawks from Cal Lutheran last night (October 27) and fought to the end taking the win in four sets, 25-23, 25-21, 21-25 and 25-21.

Head Coach Melissa McGivern said, “These players have played their hearts out and continue to play as one.”

Sophomore Jenica Silvas held the right side down with 26 digs, had 23 assists, one block assist and 6 kills.  Senior Gabby Wunderlee led the team with 11 kills, had 16 digs, one block assist and one solo block.  Sophomore Lindie Stewart put down 6 kills and had one block assist.   Seniors Itzel Solorio, Anisia Rios, and Zemira Mosqueda held the back court down with 31 digs.  Itzel Solorio came up huge with some really tough serves to receive.  Senior Lexi Hanson had 5 kills, and one block assist. 

The cats will travel on Saturday Oct. 29th to take on the Coyotes of Orange Vista High School at 6 p.m. for the semi-finals.
