Twentynine Palms Ladycats Volleyball win first State match

The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats Volleyball hosted the Eagles of Marshall Fundamental High School and won their first state match in 3, 25-12, 25-17 and 25-17.

The Ladycats started off strong and did not let up. Junior Kyla Palpallatoc was solid all around with 9 digs, 8 kills, 5 assists and 4 touches. Sophomore Jenica Silvas had beautiful hands all night with 15 assists, 9 digs, 3 kills, and 2 ace serves. Senior Gabby Wunderlee and Zemira Mosqueda each had 3 kills and 4 digs.

Gabby served up 3 aces and Sophomore Lindie Stewart had 4. Senior Lexi Hanson was big at the net with 9 touches on the block and one solo block. The cats will travel on Thursday to take on the Knights of Victory Christian Academy in Chula Vista.
