Twentynine Palms Ladycats Volleyball traveled to Indio

The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats’ volleyball teams traveled to Indio High School last night (September 26) and came up short.  JV lost 15-25 and 9-25.  Anisa Youso had two ace serves and one kill.  Mariah Coriaarmenta had one kill and one ace.  Seniyah Hawkins had one assist and one kill.

In varsity action the Ladycats fought hard and despite dropping the first game 9-25, the cats played well and had several long rallies with the Rajahs.  The cats came up short in the next set losing 12-25 and in the third set they fought hard but lost 17-25.  Senior Kyla Palpallatoc lead the cats at the net with seven kills, had six digs, three assists and one ace serve.  Junior Jenica Silvas led the team in defense with 16 digs, had two kills and 11 assists.  Junior Lindie Stewart had one ace serve, six kills, and 12 digs for the night.  Senior Olivianne Ryan played solid defense with 10 digs and Junior Jayde James had 10 touches at the net.  The cats are now 5-3 in league and will travel to Banning on Tuesday.
