Twentynine Palms Ladycats Volleyball face off against themselves

The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats volleyball teams traveled to West Shores yesterday (September 5) to face off with the other Ladycats.

In JV action, the Twentynine Palms High School cats won 25-17 and 26-24. Hailey Stephenson had 3 kills, 3 aces, and had 2 assists. Arabella Staggs had 2 kills and 2 aces. Lily Romero put down 3 kills and had 1 ace. Mariah Coriaarmenta served up 2 aces. Emma Avalos had 1 ace and 4 assists.

The varsity team won in 3, 25-23, 25-7, and 25-18. Sophomore Vivian Grunt served up 7 ace serves, put down 11 kills and had 2 assists. Senior Jenica Silvas also served up 7 aces, put down 7 kills and had 13 assists. Freshman Eva Tili had 4 kills and 4 ace serves. Sophomore Seniyah Hawkins put down 4 kills and had 3 assists. Senior Jayde James put down 3 kills. Senior Violet Tucker had 2 kills. Sophomore Berlyn McCormick had one ace serve and 3 assists. Sophomore Cambria Schneider had 6 assists for the night.

The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats had 11 touches and are now 4-3 in pre-season.
