The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycat volleyball teams hosted the Coachella Valley High School teams last night and came up short for the wins.
The junior varsity volleyball team lost in 2. Hailey Stephenson had 1 ace, 1 kill, and 5 assists. Lily Romero Gonzalez and Madison Critchfield each had 2 kills.
In varsity action, the cats battled hard but lost in 4; 13-25, 25-18, 18-25 and 17-25. Senior Jenica Silvas put down 10 kills, had 3 ace serves, 6 assists, 1 block assist, and solid defense with 24 digs. Sophomore VIvian Grunt put down 7 kills, had 2 assists and 12 digs. Freshman Eva Tili had 4 kills, 1 ace serve, 1 block assist, and 7 digs. Junior Cambria Schneider had 8 digs and 9 assists. Senior Tui Young had 1 kill and 7 digs.
