Twentynine Palms Ladycats faced off against Palm Springs on Wednesday

The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats faced off with Palm Springs High School last night. The JV team lost in two sets, 17-25 and 15-25. Emma Avalos served up three ace serves. Shannon Flin served up two ace serves, and Mariah Coriaamenta with one ace serve. Lily Romero and Arabella Staggs had one kill each.

In Varsity action, the cats fought hard but came up short in four sets; 19-25, 14-25, 25-17, and 22-25. Senior Jenica Silvas led the team defensively with 10 digs, offensively with seven kills, five assists and three ace serves. Sophomore Vivian Grunt had seven digs, three kills and three ace serves. Senior Violet Tucker had five digs, four kills, and two aces. Junior Cambria Schneider played solid defense with six digs. Sophomore Seniyah Hawkins had two ace serves, one dig and five assists.

The Ladycats will travel to Big Bear today August 22) to take on the Bears.
