Twentynine Palms Ladycats come up short but show spirit and skills on the Volleyball court

The Twentynine Palms High Shool Ladycats volleyball team traveled to Desert Mirage last night and came home with a tough loss losing in 3 sets: 19-25, 24-26, and 24-26.

The Ladycats had 31 kills for the night, with junior Kyla Palpallatic leading the way with 19 of those kills. Sophomore Lindie Stewart had 6 kills, 2 assists and played solid defense.

Senior Gabby Wunderlee has 2 kills followed by seniors Itzel Solorio and Lexi Hanson with one kill each. Sophomore setter Jenica Silvas had one kill, 4 ace serves, strong defense, and 26 assists. This brings the Ladycats to 3-3 in league. The team will hit the road next week for both matches.

The TPHS Varsity Ladycats tennis team traveled to Desert mirage to face the Rams.

The Ladycats won 12 to 6. In singles action, Corey Watt won two sets. Natalie Plummer won two sets and Jadyn Bauer won one set. In doubles action, the team of Marley Kyle/Addy Simmons won two sets. The team of Aviana Lipkins/Katelyn Luke swept all three of their sets while the team of Kairi Scott/Tomi Toyama won two of their sets. The Ladycats are 4 and 1. The Ladycats travel to Yucca valley on Monday and Desert Hot Springs on Wednesday.
