Several Twentynine Palms Junior High School students were arrested Thursday for smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol at school. According to Sheriff’s reports, one male student was arrested about 8 a.m. for possession of marijuana at school. He is accused of bringing the pot to school, rolling a joint, and smoking it in the school bathroom. He was cited and released to his father. Several junior high students were called to the school office about 11:25 and searched for marijuana and asked to take a breathalyzer test. One girl’s blood alcohol content tested higher than .08. She was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and cite released to a family member.
