TWENTYNINE PALMS AND JOSHUA SPRINGS IN CIF FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS

Coming up in high school sports tonight, the Twentynine Palms High School Wildcats and the Joshua Springs Christian School Lightning football teams advance to CIF play-offs. The Wildcats, with a record of 4 and 6 overall, 3 and 2 in league, will play in the East Valley Division CIF playoffs tonight against St. Margaret High School in San Juan Capistrano. The St. Margaret’s Tartans are 9 and 1 overall, 4 and 0 in league play. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

The Joshua Springs Lightning football team received a bye last week in the first round of playoffs. Tonight they host at home in Lightning Stadium Price High School from Los Angeles in the second round of 8-man Division II play-offs. The Price Knights are 5 and 2 overall; the Joshua Springs Lightning football team is ranked fifth in the state with a 7 and 2 record. Kick-off is 7 p.m.
