Twentynine Palms High School Wildcats Football Bests Cathedral City

The Twentynine Palms High School Wildcats Football teams bested Cathedral City in both Varsity and Junior Varsity matchups.

The Junior Varsity football team played great Friday winning by a score of 12-0 against Cathedral City. The first touchdown came from Antwone Wilson and the other touchdown came from Kahiry Lee. The offensive line played great. The defense played very well too, getting their 2nd shutout of the season. The team played great team football all evening and look to get their 3rd win next week at Desert Mirage.

The Wildcats Varsity football team came into the night looking for a win and came out with exactly that, winning by a score of 15-12. It was a battle all night long, as the Wildcats were down 7-12 in the 3rd quarter but rallied back, scoring a touchdown and 2 point conversion to bring the score up to 15-12.

The Wildcats offense sparked in the 2nd half. The wildcats played strong all night and never stopped playing hard. Great efforts came from Noah Barber, River Ruiz, Josh Burkins, Kaimani Manai, Cash Winn, Lucas Moody, Tzion Coffee, Enasio Alston, Billy Wekenman, Dylan Todd. Assistant Coach Kole Green says, “the wildcats are only getting better and look for another win against travelling to Desert Mirage High School Friday, (September 23) at 7 p.m.
