The Twentynine Palms High School girls volleyball season has come an end. ROP Broadcast Student Cyrus Clarke took a look back at the season with a standout player..
The Twentynine Palms High School girls volleyball team is ranked fourth in the DeAnza League. We asked Hope Culver, a sophomore and a second year varsity player, how she thought this past season has gone. “We started off slow, but we have improved immensely and we’re finally playing as a team.”
We then asked her what the team does every day to prepare for a game. “During practice, we warm our arms up. We practice serve/receive, and we do defensive drills often and every practice we serve 20 in a row to make sure we don’t miss one in the game.”
Ending up in the fourth place position in the DeAnza League, we asked Hope how the team plans on getting better in future seasons. “Next year we’re going to have to work harder and the more experienced players, like myself, are going to have to help the new players that are coming up.”
Thank you for your insight, Hope.
